We are open for breakfast at the weekend and lunch from 11.30am during the week.

Our food is freshly prepared with a range of specials in addition to our daily menu.

We serve barista made coffee from Workshop Coffee, alongside a range of tea, hot chocolate, chai, milkshakes and seasonal drinks.

Vegan and decaffeinated options and plant based milks available.

We are a fullly licenced Freehouse and serve local beer on tap from Buxton and Thornbridge brewery.

Something Special

Located on the main high street in Castleton, we have an incredible garden, that offers views of the beautiful landscape. In the winter, we have a log burning fire where you can warm up and revive yourself after enjoying the Castleton shops, caverns or incredible walks. We work hard to create an inviting and memorable visit.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Cute little cafe in Castleton. I had the Avocado mash on muffin which was delicious. Also had a good strong cup of flat white to go with it.
Service was quick, waiters were very friendly. Food was decently priced.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is a friendly cosy cafe with a nice outdoor seating area as well. We had delicious avocado on sourdough, and BLTs with fries, on a cold windy day. It was like a haven to be honest. There are excellent cakes and even beer on tap. We saw some other people having a sharing platter of soft yolk scotch eggs and cheeses which looked absolutely delicious. Great place for a first date I’d say!

After a walking event in Castleton, we stopped by Rose Cottage Café & Bistro for breakfast the following morning—and it was absolutely spot on.
